Small House for little people, made out of cardboard complete with stickers for personalization. Not to take away from Javier Mariscal’s whimsical design, but this house is reminiscent Jean Dubuffet. A great place for children to let their imaginations run free, they can color and add whatever delights them to the facade and interior of their play house. Guaranteed to provide days and days of entertainment.

Modern Furniture for Children by Tolix
French company Tolix has relaunched their line of furniture for children. Tolix’s furniture collection is made from metal sheets, which gives the feeling that it will be cold and industrial-like but it’s actually the exact opposite. The pieces have beautiful curves and gorgeous splashes of colors really modernise and warm the pieces up.

Jul 16 2010 Modern Dream Homes : Villa Potsdam/Kleinmachnow by BERLINRODEO
No one ever wants to revisit their high school days, but if you never got to sit with the cool kids at lunch – your chance just arrived. BERLINRODEO stepped in and just made room for you at their table.
With their “interiors for brave souls”, and even bolder design philosophy – this studio is not afraid to push a few boundaries, creating some pretty awesome and unique interiors. Private residence Villa Potsdam/Kleinmachnow demonstrates this talent and shows off how a typically conceptualized rustic villa can have some modern love.
The neutral palette and clean lines are accented by wild animal rugs and fancy chandeliers, all making you curious to see what is in the next room. The open interior provides a loft-like character, but still allows for enough private space on the upper floor to include guestrooms and three baths. If you are lucky enough to sneak down to the basement, you’ll find the fitness room and dip tank that await you!

Decorate Your Balcony For The Summer
Pool-party season is around the corner and everyone with a backyard is gearing up for the festivities. Now just because you live in an apartment building, doesn’t mean you can’t turn your balcony space into an area that’s style and social friendly!
Here are a few tips to get you started..
• Remember to ask the management about weight limits or any regulations they have about redecorating the balcony. You have to know these things if you’re going to be successful in turning your “outdoors” into a safe and inviting area.
• Take careful measurements so that you don’t have to waste time or money returning things that don’t fit correctly.
• Take into consideration what the weather might bring: extreme sun exposure or harsh rain. Look into some kind of protection; such as an awning or a large umbrella or parasol.
• Draw out some sketches of potential design ideas so that you can truly see what looks best in your space.
• Go online to look at furniture, accent pieces, or flooring since it saves time.
• Make sure your space is inviting to others. Stay away from overly fancy items because you want people to feel at home.
• Don’t clutter the space. It should be free-flowing and easy to move around on.
• Adding plants or a small fountain always adds to creating a more soothing and relaxed ambiance.

Remember, just because you don’t have an enormous backyard, doesn’t mean you can’t invite your friends over this summer! With these tips, you can transform your balcony into a small oasis that’s meant to calm and relax it’s guests.

Superhero Lifestyle: The House of Iron Man
Iron Man 2 continues the adventures of billionaire Tony Stark and his superhero alter ego Iron Man. The main character is played by Robert Downey Jr. and the whole movie features amazing effects and state-of-the-art technology. But the home of the character is by far the most interesting aspect of the movie- from our point of view at least. This may come as a huge disappointment to some of our readers, but what you see in the photos below is digitized fiction. Jon Favreau, the director of the film explains that the home was falsely positioned on a site in Malibu. It is forbidden to build an architecture project there, so they came up with a different solution: computer graphics. The interiors were built on a sound-stage area in Los Angeles and everything was synchronized with the computer plans. When I’ve saw the movie the house was so real but it seems that movies can trick us very easily ..like this one did. -viaHome-Designing

Cool Bathroom Shelf and Towel Hanger, Milan 2010
As we already stated, Milan Furniture Fair was full of ideas that we so eagerly captured. Here is a really cool alternative for a bathroom mirror. Occupying the same amount of space, but with a lot more functionality, this bathroom shelf can also become a towel or clothes hanger when needed. So simple and yet with a daring practicability, the hanger also features a mirror and a storage place for perfumes and other small accessories. Its white finish makes it perfect for any modern bathroom, big or small. Still, we think a smaller version would have even more success. What do you think of this design? Do you find it to be practical or a bit exaggerated ?

With a sleek design this modern front door storage is equipped to store everything a person may be carrying when out side can be stored on when entering the home. This smart design has a place for everything as you can see. The door storage has four differently shaped polypropylene hooks, that can be arranged in any order, therefore suiting different people’s routines. – Via – YankoDesign

Living Room Interior Design Ideas
is living room you can see all of this. The fireplace and incandescent lamps themselves are extremely bright in IR. They are deliberately overexposed for this example and appear cyan. There is a huge projection TV on the right. It looks almost completely black, since TVs emit very little IR.

Modern house design of Indian architecture by DADA

The new face of Indian architecture through this luxury mansion in the suburbs of Gurgaon. According to the architects, the house should as well serve as an example for fusion between modern and traditional style in India’s home building practice.India Architects: An architect is a person who plans, designs and undertakes the process of constructing your home. Architect converts a plot into a beautiful building. Architect gives your home a new look. They have their own way of designing and you will see that you will never regret giving responsibility to a good architect to build your home.

Celebrating, Rain and Shine
by Ted Katauskas
The house called Rainwater is a complex composition of four simple volumes — residence, guest house, office, garage — each capped with a planar steel roof rakishly tilted to channel water down to a single cantilevered corner.
The divergent roof planes almost intersect, and the volumes converge into a single coherent element. But the singularity is elusive. No matter where you stand — above, on either side, or below — you never see the same combination of house, or, for that matter, the entire house. At least one of the volumes, one of the rooftops, is always hidden, just around a corner
.
Respecting the Hillside
"We felt it would be good to have a subdued presence from the front," says Eimar Boesjes, an architectural software developer and Internet entrepreneur. "It doesn't say 'we're here!' like the other houses."
Boesjes collaborated on the design and construction of this, their own house, with his wife, landscape designer Anita Van Asperdt.
Although innovative in form and ambitious in size (5,000 square feet, or 465 square meters), Rainwater manages to avoid subverting the Craftsman theme of Moonshadow Lane, a densely built cul-de-sac in the forested South Hills of Eugene, Oregon.
The house is modest to its oversized neighbors, peeking over a shoulder at the street from its perch on a sloped, pie-shaped infill lot that drops into a mature stand of Douglas fir then merges with a protected open space area deeded to remain undeveloped.

Exclusive Exterior Residence
This house at Swettenham Green is a exclusive residence located off Holland Road. On the level of aesthetics, home exterior design provides an external and sophisticated compliment to the architecture of a house. The exterior can also make home owners feel good about the state of their house. Such a thing can be achieved with simple paint jobs on siding or with more elaborate work such as more elaborate roofing, painting, chimney work, and windows or even adding additions such as bay windows, porches or extra rooms.
